Joining PLT shortly after its inception alongside founder & CEO Paul Leonard, I found my professional home, sharing his vision and passion for enhancing the lives of men and women through a balanced and sustainable approach. My personal journey, marked by overcoming a lifelong struggle with yo-yo dieting and navigating the complexities of weight management during menopause, imbues my coaching style with a deep sense of empathy. Having discovered fitness later in life, I transitioned from a dedicated CrossFit enthusiast and competitor to someone who embraces the holistic benefits of strength training, yoga, and walking. With a coaching experience spanning over a thousand clients, predominantly women, I've worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and athletic levels. Whether guiding everyday exercisers, women venturing into strength training, or supporting nationally ranked competitors and endurance athletes, each coaching plan is uniquely tailored—crafted like a fingerprint with PLT Foundations at its core. My personal commitment to health and wellness is intricately tied to my dedication to helping others achieve their goals. When not immersed in coaching or pursuing my own fitness objectives, you'll likely find me unwinding on a beach with a good book and my favorite music, savoring moments of relaxation and personal rejuvenation. As a qualified Mind/Body Nutrition and Functional Fitness Coach, I talk about health from multiple angles. My coaching philosophy is rooted in empathy and understanding; acknowledging the first-hand struggles of balancing fitness, a healthy lifestyle, and family life. My passion is helping others on their journey to health, fitness, and overall well-being. I understand that hormones and the demands of motherhood can create setbacks in this journey. Growing up in New Orleans, where food is deeply woven into the fabric of our culture, I faced challenges with my weight from an early age. Food wasn’t just sustenance; it was celebration, comfort, and tradition. These experiences shaped my understanding of the powerful role nutrition plays in our lives and became a defining moment in my personal and professional journey. At 17, I made the life-changing decision to take control of my health—not just for myself, but for my family as well. I joined a gym, began exploring healthier lifestyle choices, and over time, witnessed the incredible impact these changes had on both my physical and mental well-being. What started as a personal mission to improve my own health grew into a passion for helping others. Seeing my family embrace healthier habits inspired me to pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian, and along the way, I earned numerous fitness-related certifications to broaden my ability to support clients holistically. Today, my mission is to empower individuals to discover what a truly healthy and balanced lifestyle looks like for them. I believe in meeting people where they are, recognizing that every journey is unique. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups, helping each of them achieve their goals in a sustainable, personalized way. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, build strength, or simply feel your best, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we’ll develop a plan that not only helps you reach your goals but ensures you can maintain those results effortlessly for years to come. As a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist and the Director of Coaching at PLT Nutrition, it is my goal to view each client individually in what their goals and perceived roadblocks may be. I am a firm believer that the best path forward is usually the simplest one, and nutrition and fitness are not exceptions. After the birth of my third child I found myself dealing with significant health issues, unexplained weight gain being one of them. I was later diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and spent a lot of my energy learning even more about nutrition and healing through food for myself. All of this led to a deep passion for the power of healing through food, and eventually further formal education and certifications. This work is truly my passion! I am a very active person and have found a true passion for strength training, yoga, dance and as much mobility work I can squeeze in! I live on a 40 acre sheep farm with my family, there is always something to do physically! My commitment to health is deeply personal. My goal as a coach is to guide my clients through their transformative experiences, leading them towards healthier relationships with food and their bodies. The end goal for all my clients is the empowering concept of intuitive living.
