Health has always been important to me but I'm 69 now and health becomes even more important. Through my life there have been times I have been heavy and lost weight but it was never via a balanced healthy approach. PLT has helped me make some real life medical changes. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. I was devastated. I thought I was doing pretty good. I was determined not go on medication. My cholesterol was high , vit D low , LDL not good, you get the picture. One year with PLT I've not only lost 40 lbs & 35 inches, but I've reversed my Osteoporosis without medication, & all my markers are in a great range now. My coach was dedicated to helping me improve my health. Actually they really preach about health first strength training NSV,& then weight loss. They offer the complete package , with a genuine care about people's health. I can't thank them enough for turning my health around. My Dr said I've added years to my life. |

Je’re and Darren have lost 38lb, but most importantly, both Je’re and Darren have created new habits and changes to their lifestyles that will serve as a foundation for continued progress and long term sustainability of their improved health and well-being. Darren wanted to stop the cycle he found himself in of either grabbing convenient/unhealthy food or not eating at all during long working hours; he has worked on refining his choices, planning better and by doing so, fueling his hard working body much better. For Je’re, an unfortunate medical diagnosis will find her facing multiple surgeries this year and she very much wanted to ensure that her body is in its best condition as she prepares for this challenging time. |

“Here I am closer to 40yrs rather than 30. Three kids, a very very full time stressful job. Habitual stress eater but consistent exerciser. I was pretty sure I had just resigned to the fact that I didn’t have the willpower anymore to get rid of the extra weight that didn’t come off with that third pregnancy. It’s been 9 months, 35 ish lbs, and so so so many inches since I joined PLT Nutrition and they put me with Coach Stacy. This summer has not been a super tight summer. I’ve got to enjoy myself. I have had the cake sometimes (maybe more than sometimes in certain weeks). So yes it’s been 9 months to finally officially lose all the extra baby and stress weight I held onto for 3 years after kids but it doesn’t seem like a constant diet. It’s seems more like my life. Some weeks better than others that’s true. But not a deprived life. I’m coming up in a month or two about making a decision to officially go into maintenance. And I’m sure Stacy will guide me through how to do that like she always does, with just the right about of sarcasm and sass (totally right up my alley) to get my butt into gear and figure this out. Summer is almost over, which for me is the hardest season to lose weight in. This summer, different than any other I have actually continued to lose a bit over the season. Wanted to post a picture with the PLT Difference from last summer to this summer to remind myself to not get too complacent as I try and lose those last few pounds to hit my new goal. But also to give a big shout out to Coach Stacy and PLT for being awesome!” |

"I am so thankful that I have found a nutrition coaching company that focuses on health. After spending years being critical of myself, i find myself embracing my power, whatever it may be. I have started to accept my imperfections, recognizing that there is only one version of me, and I am enough. Instead of stressing over the scale not moving, I find yourself noting my extra steps, my lifting milestones, my Pelofondo distance, or my dessert restraint! Over the course of the last several months, my coach has helped me to not only understand the balance of macros, but she’s helping me change my mindset about the scale as well; showing me that a single weigh in per week does not define my progress, it’s the average of several weigh ins that represent the week as a whole and each week we watch that average trend down. This way, if my weight is a bit higher on ‘check in day’ than it was on another day in the same week, I can let go of the emotion of the number - looking at the average is such a better view. When you work with a PLT coach, you determine the role that is best for you. Am I a ‘go strong to maintenance and navigate that world?’ Or am I a ‘Let me take my time and practice along the way for a longer length of time? Or am I somewhere in between? My favorite thing about PLT is that collectively, we are all of the above. There’s no wrong way. Progress is progress. I am a take it slow person because I know that I struggle with feeling the slightest bit restricted. As a result, I am still 15-20 pounds from my goal, but know that without a doubt, I will reach my goal once and for all." |

When I began last August I was a *classic* case of wanting to lose 20lbs in 13 weeks, 8 weeks in I had lost some weight but felt frustrated at my rate of progress. Thankfully, after speaking with Paul & my coach I realized I needed to continue to be consistent and keep doing everything I was already doing and I would continue towards my goals! That conversation was my turning point, I just needed to keep going and I did! "Fast doesn't last" PLT's gentle approach is exactly what I needed, what all us menopausal women need! Menopause is tough and I wanted to feel SEXY again! My PLT Coach's' patience and expert knowledge — as well as their community of AWESOME people — I slowly adopted a much healthier mindset and it’s that mindset that’s gotten me to where I am today! I’m no longer dieting, I’M LIVING MY LIFE WELL, I FEEL STRONG and I FEEL SEXY AGAIN! I’m focused on the basics, the PLT Foundations (water, fiber, protein, movement) and learning what my body loves (less alcohol! more yogurt!, lifting weights rather than running and what my life REALLY needs - flexibility, spontaneity and some reliable structure. If I have any advice, it’s this: don’t think about 13 weeks… or any weeks or even months. Think about the rest of your life. Make this sustainable. Don’t diet! Embrace balance. |

"When I signed up for PLT, I like many was looking for anything to help me loose weight and had tried many other plans and diets on my own and "failed". I had the exercise part down but was failing in the nutrition and self love. I thought I was eating "clean or healthy" but was eating portions far to large on the weekends and erasing all my hard work from that previous week. As a busy mom of 2, wife and nurse manager with a team of 35 I needed something flexible and PLT Nutrition gave me just that! I truly never felt hungry during to process because I was eating the right combination of foods! Here's a few of the many things I learned along my journey... 1. Pre-tracking is KEY then stick to it! I plan and track all my meals on Saturday morning for the following week before hitting the grocery store. 2. The scale isn't always your friends- there we're many weeks the scale didn't move much and you have to look for those NSV in order to not get frustrated. 3. Be kind to yourself! Everyday won't be perfect but the fact that your trying is more than most and something to be proud of! 4. Being honest with yourself and the emotions that can come up during a weight loss journey. There we're several mini meltdowns along the way... meditation and journaling have become keys to my day and staying grounded. |

"2 years ago I saw a dietitian to help shed some weight, after having two boys, my baby weight never went away. As a mom you sacrifice so much to make sure your kids have the best of everything and you forget about taking care of yourself. The dietitian told me to log what I eat and exercise and was kind enough to check in on me once a month to ask how I'm doing and what my weight was... with a large bill on top of it. I felt lost but after struggling for a year, one of my best friends made a post about PLT and her weight loss journey. "I had tried every diet multiple times, not realizing it isn’t about dieting, it’s about making better choices in food and quantities of food. As a petite framed person over the last several years with lifestyle change and lots of travel the pounds started to add up and my diet and exercise program were no longer working. Thankfully I found the PLT Community and made the commitment to join. I had been tracking with MyFitnesspal off and on since 2012 so that was not new, and I recently purchased a food scale to help understand protein portions. I was a bit intimidated at first about weighing food but quickly found out tracking wasn’t a big deal the way PLT track. I found a formula of consistency that works for me. Whether eating at home or going out I have come to realize that if I plan ahead and continue to make good choices this is a lifestyle I can sustain |
