The PLT "ABC's"

PLT Nutrition prides itself on working with our clients towards greater nutritional education and habits. As part of our education program we have created the PLT 'ABC's'

The PLT ABC's; Accountability, Balance, and Consistency are the building blocks of our program. PLT coaches work with their clients to cover the step by step techniques of the ABC's; clients also use them as a check list to work towards their goals.

Let's look a little closer at each of the ABC's

A is for Accountability    
A
ccountability extends beyond the task of being accountable to your nutrition coach. It also asks whether you are:
  • Ensuring you are working towards lifestyle changes
  • Ensuring you are working as hard as possible
  • Ensuring you are tracking everything you eat/drink
  • Ensuring you are getting your steps in
  • Being accountable to your coach
  • Ensuring you are recording your day accurately in your tracker
  • Ensuring you are talking through any daily issues with your coach

​B is for Balance
Balance encompasses both your diet and your lifestyle
  • Rest
    • Ensuring you are getting enough rest and enough sleep
  • Exercise
    • Ensuring you are getting sufficient exercise
    • Ensuring you are getting your steps in each day
  • Eating
    • Ensuring you are eating a balanced diet
    • Ensuring you are enjoying  a treat or two
  • Emotional Balance
    • Ensuring you are working through emotional issues to try and avoid over-eating
    • Ensuring you are working on recognizing triggers
    • Ensuring you have the tools in place to cope when triggered; home/community support

C is for Consistency
Consistency is important for more than just food tracking. Consistency also covers:
  • Ensuring you are measuring & tracking the same each time
  • Ensuring you are making sufficient time each day to focus on your goals
  • Ensuring you are eating simple foods to make tracking easier
  • Ensuring you are completing your PLT App habits daily & checking in with your coach each week
  • Ensuring you are only eating the items you tracked
  • Ensuring you are getting to the gym/walking/being active on the days you expect to.

These building blocks help our clients through their daily lives and towards their goals, it also aids the coaches working to help their clients achieve.
